The 11th WDBF World Championships will be held in Bangkok from December 5–13, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the continued development and global expansion of dodgeball.
Building on the momentum of recent international events, the 2026 World Championships are expected to welcome representation from all six continents, reflecting the sport’s growing reach and the increasing depth of participation worldwide. Attendance is anticipated to surpass that of the 2024 World Championships, which brought together 1,400 athletes and officials from 36 countries, the largest international gathering in the sport’s history at that time.
The event will feature six competitive divisions, showcasing the diversity of formats and competitive pathways that now define modern international dodgeball. The championships will be delivered in collaboration with the Thailand Dodgeball Association, whose leadership and local expertise will support the delivery of a world-class event in one of Asia’s most vibrant and internationally connected cities.
In addition to elite competition, the Bangkok 2026 programme will include a series of workshops and development sessions. These sessions will be open to both Member Federations and non-members, and are intended to support the ongoing growth of the sport through education in areas such as governance, coaching, officiating, event delivery, and organizational development.
Registration for the 2026 World Championships will open in early February, with detailed event information to be shared directly with WDBF Member Federations in the coming weeks. The championships are open to all Member Federations in good standing.
As the World Dodgeball Federation continues to expand its global footprint, Bangkok 2026 represents the next step in the sport’s evolution — bringing together competition, education, and international collaboration to strengthen dodgeball’s position on the world sporting stage.
