The 2025 Dodgeball European Championships brought four days of high-level international competition to Limerick, Ireland, from June 26 to 29. Hosted by the Irish Dodgeball Association, the event welcomed 76 teams from 21 nations, showcasing the growing strength and diversity of the sport across the continent.
England led the overall medal table, securing two golds and four silvers in a dominant all-around performance.
In the cloth category, Austria claimed gold in the Women’s division, while Northern Ireland delivered an impressive double victory, winning both the Men’s and Mixed titles.
Making history in Limerick was the introduction of the foam category — a first for the European Championships. England made an immediate impact, winning inaugural gold medals in both the Women’s and Men’s divisions. Italy also etched its name into the record books, capturing its first-ever European title with gold in the Mixed foam event.
Sweden won two bronze, while France and Spain also took home medals. The latter won its first ever medal in only its third Euros appearance, boding well for when they will host the Championships in Zaragoza in 2027.
Other first-time participants included Luxembourg and a re-established Slovakia.
