The city of Chía, Cundinamarca, Colombia, played host to the Panamerican Dodgeball Championships from August 7–10, welcoming athletes and delegates from across the region for what has become a landmark event in the growth of the sport.

This year’s competition marked the second Panamerican Dodgeball Championships and the third international South American championship, officially sanctioned by Latin America Dodgeball and hosted by Dodgeball Colombia.

Teams representing Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay, and Venezuela competed, with official delegates from Peru also in attendance. The tournament was the largest dodgeball event in Latin America to date, a milestone that reflects the rapid expansion of the sport throughout South and Central America.

On the court, Mexico and Argentina dominated the podium, each capturing three gold medals and several silver finishes across the six divisions of play. Colombia, Venezuela, and Chile each claimed bronze in the cloth format, while Colombia and Venezuela added to their tallies with multiple bronze medals in the foam divisions.

The event’s success underscores the growing enthusiasm for dodgeball in Latin America and highlights the collaborative efforts of federations across the continent to build competitive opportunities for athletes.

As momentum continues to grow, the World Dodgeball Federation congratulates Dodgeball Colombia, Latin America Dodgeball, and all participating nations for delivering a memorable and historic championship.
