Following confirmation by Congress at the 2023 Annual General Meeting, the WDBF welcomed its newest Voting Members to the Federation. Officially joining the global community were:

  • Fédération Djiboutien de Dodgeball
  • Norwegian Dodgeball Association
  • Dodgeball Paraguay
  • Associação Portuguesa de Dodgeball
  • Serbian Dodgeball Federation
  • Somali Dodgeball Federation

“We are honoured to have these organizations join our dodgeball family,” said President Duane Wysynski. We have been working with each of these organizations over the past year or more to introduce them to the Federation and our goals, and in turn, we have been able to learn a lot about them and what drives dodgeball in their communities.”

In addition to the addition of Full Members, Provisional Members added in 2023 were formally presented to Congress. Provisional Members are approved by the Executive Board and can become Full Members at a subsequent AGM or by a Special Vote of Congress. “Provisional Membership is the first step,” noted Wysynski, “it is a great opportunities for both parties to develop a relationship and to explore how we might work together in the years ahead. It is as much of a test for fit and alignment as anything else.”

Provisional Members welcomed include:

  • Dodgeball Federation of the Bahamas
  • Association de Dodgeball du Benin
  • Fédération Nationale de Dodgeball Congolais
  • Fédération Guinéenne de Dodgeball
  • Kazakhstan Dodgeball Federation
  • Dodgeball Federation of Ukraine
  • Zimbabwe Dodgeball Federation

The Federation will continue to work with all the new additions to the global community, and is excited to be seeing many of them at their very first World Championships in August.
