Canada Sweeps at World Police and Fire Games

Dodgeball was once again a part of the World Police and Fire Games.

Winnipeg, Canada hosted the event, which brought more than 8,500 athletes together from around the world. Managed by Dodgeball Manitoba, the provincial branch of Dodgeball Canada, the event featured 9 teams from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Czechia, Germany and the United States.

It was a Canadian sweep as the Canadian Beavers denied the Montreal Mighty Dodgers a repeat of their gold from Rotterdam. The Beavers lost only one point throughout the entire tournament. The Brandon FD took home bronze.

The World Police and Fire Games is an multi-sport competition with more than 60 unique sports. Athletes represent law enforcement, firefighters, and police officers. The 2011 WPFG in New York holds the current attendance record with more than 16,000 athletes competing in 67 sports from near 70 countries.
